Single Arm Fly
Single Arm Fly is a drill used to improve your butterfly endurance. It helps swimmers be able to swim for longer amounts of time due to the lack of using both arms at once, which is typically harder for beginning swimmers.
Steps:
Single Arm Fly is used to build up to distance butterfly swimming.
Steps:
- Push off the wall in streamline position.
- When you reach the surface of the water, swim butterfly one lap with either arm.
- When you reach the other wall, push off in streamline.
- When you reach the surface of the water, swim butterfly one lap with the other arm.
- Continue for any desired distance.
