Fly Kick Backstroke
Fly Kick Backstroke is a drill to help increase your abdominal strength. It increases abdominal strength by forcing your body to use your abs while swimming backstroke. Some people struggle to engage their abs while swimming backstroke.
Steps:
This drill should be used to increase and maintain abdominal strength. Swim it often to receive all the benefits of this drill
Steps:
- Push off wall in backstroke streamline.
- Kick the butterfly kick on your back.
- If you are advanced, you can attempt to swim backstroke while using this kick--beware, this is hard!
- Swim whatever distance you want, usually at least a 50.
